About Matthew Leigh

I’m a twenty year veteran of the Vancouver video game industry, having started at Radical Entertainment in 1996 as a computer graphics artist.

After joining Barking Dog Studios I became the cinematics director and animator for the game Homeworld: Cataclysm. I later planned and storyboarded cinematics for projects at Rockstar Vancouver.

Having later shifted companies to Blue Castle Games where I was a founder, I planned and co-directed the cinematics for Dead Rising: Case Zero, Dead Rising 2, and Dead Rising: Case West.

As a screenwriter, two of my short film screenplays, “Double Booked” and “Dinner and a Show” were selected as semifinalists in the Screencraft.org Short Film Production Fund competition. I’ve also had two feature film screenplays, “The Living” and “The Factory” selected as finalists in the Vancouver Bad-Ass Film Festival.

My first short films “Jetlag” and “The Hidden” have completed their festival circuits, earning laurels around the world.

My most recent longer form film “Double Booked” is about to be released on Vimeo and I recently wrapped the feature film, “Lost Lake Confessions” as cinematographer.
